Q. What products does FlightLevel Simulations produce?
A. At this time we are focused on the design and production of Learjet 45 instrument panel replicas designed to work hand-in-hand with the information published at Hangar 45 and along with products developed by Hangar 45 members.
Q. Where has all the information from the original Flight Level 180 website gone to?
A. When we created Hangar 45 (www.Hangar45.net) it became a much better platform to show project status and updates, as well as that of many other LJ45 sim builders. As such, it was decided that with a new simulator coming online in Fall 2009, documentation of the old simulator project was only showing obselete information. Please visit Hangar 45 for a treasure trove of information regarding all aspects of building a LJ45 simulator.
Q. What is the purpose of Flight Level 180 now?
A. After spending over 10 years both in Flight Simulation and taking aviation classes (resulting in a formal degree in Aviation Ops and Administration), a lot of information has been amassed that is helpful to other simulator enthusiasts in several diciplines. As such, this information is given away gladly for FREE at Hangar45.net. However, if you would like hands-on information regarding any aspect of our LJ45 simulator to help you with your own interests, we can arrange personalized consultation for you at our home base where our LJ45 simulator is operated in its dedicated simulator hangar for a reasonable donation to the project. If you require on-site consulation for JET45, Interfacing (select systems) or operation details we are available for a fee.
Q. What limitations are there on the consulation and visits to the simulator?
A. All information provided by Flight Level Simulations has no guarantee to be 100% accurate and is intended for use with simulation, not real world aviation, and in a hobby environment. Visits to the simulator for consulation are available to anyone when available but 'flight time' is available only to licensed aviators, aviation students, and established simulator enthusiasts who meet the physical requirements to actually safely enter and exit the simulator due to its small size. If you meet these requirements, please contact us to arrange for your visit.
Q. How much does hands-on visits with the simulator cost?
A. Because of the love of flight simulation and the desire to share it with others, we do not have a set fee schedule. However, we do request that visitors wishing to spend a considerably extended time in the simulator give back to the project in the form of a donation to continue upgrades and repairs of the simulator.
